80ft Catamaran Charter in Nassau, Bahamas for Up to 60 Guests

A fully crewed private charter built for wedding parties, corporate groups and the kind of celebration that needs room for everyone.

A Private Catamaran for Weddings, Corporate Events and Large Group Celebrations

This 80 foot custom catamaran is a tri deck power catamaran operating from Nassau and Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and she carries up to 60 guests on a day charter. That capacity is on record, and she is the only vessel in the Bahamas licensed to carry more than sixty guests on day and special event charters. Because her beam spans two hulls, she offers the interior and exterior space of a 120 foot yacht, which is what makes a group of that size workable rather than tight.

She is best suited to weddings, corporate events, family reunions, birthday parties and other large group celebrations leaving from Nassau. Every charter is private and fully crewed, with a captain and mate, a deckhand, and a host or server aboard, and fuel for local cruising is included. Her 1.5 metre draft is shallow for an 80 foot boat, so she can reach shallow shorelines and beach herself directly onto the sand for guests to step down the ladder onto the beach.

About the 80 Yacht

The 80 is a custom built catamaran, 80 feet long, and she is the boat we put forward when a group is simply too big for a conventional motor yacht. Her capacity on record is 60 guests. Two hulls and the width that comes with them give you the deck space that number needs.

Below, she is laid out with four staterooms and sleeps eight. So the same vessel that runs a 60 guest day charter can also take a much smaller group away overnight. Either way the charter is private: you book the whole boat and the crew, and nobody else is aboard.

Availability in Nassau moves constantly. Boats get sold, repositioned between Miami and Nassau, run on a seasonal basis, or are held by another client. This page is a description of the vessel, not a live calendar. Contact us with your dates and we will tell you where the 80 stands and what the charter costs.

What She Is For

Events This Catamaran Was Chosen For

Groups of roughly twenty guests and upward, on a private boat with a crew who do this every week.

Weddings and Wedding Celebrations

For a wedding party the appeal is simple: a private venue on the water with the whole group in one place. She carries up to 60 guests on a day charter, and the space across three decks means the celebration is not crowded into a single cockpit.

She draws 1.5 metres and can beach herself directly onto the sand, so guests step down the ladder straight onto the beach rather than waiting on a tender. Tell us what you have planned for the day and we will confirm what the vessel can support for your date.

Corporate Events and Company Gatherings

A day capacity of up to 60 guests means client entertainment, a team gathering or a private company function happens in one setting aboard a single vessel. Everyone is in the same place for the whole charter.

The charter is private, so the vessel and her crew belong to your group for the booked hours, and fuel for local cruising is included. Send us your group size and date and we will come back on availability.

Family Reunions and Milestone Celebrations

Up to 60 guests can gather aboard, which keeps an extended family on one boat instead of scattered across several. On a reunion the ages usually run from small children to grandparents, and the deck space gives people somewhere to be together and somewhere to sit quietly.

Her shallow draft lets her beach herself directly onto the sand, so going ashore means stepping down the ladder rather than climbing into a tender. The water toys aboard include a water trampoline, a floating island, kayaks, paddleboards and snorkeling gear.

Large Birthday Parties and Private Celebrations

A milestone birthday or a large private party benefits from room and from a crew who are not improvising. She takes up to 60 guests, and the water toys are picked for a group rather than a handful: a water trampoline, a floating island, paddleboards, kayaks, water inflatables and snorkeling gear.

Charters are private and fully crewed throughout, and there are loungers on the upper deck for guests who would rather watch the water than be in it.

A Fully Crewed Private Charter

Every charter on this catamaran is fully crewed and fully private. A captain and mate run the vessel, a deckhand handles the water toys and the boarding ladder when she beaches onto the sand, and a host or server looks after guests aboard.

At up to 60 guests that crew carries the logistics that would otherwise fall to whoever is organising the event. The charter stays private throughout, so they are looking after your group and nobody else. Overnight is a secondary use for this vessel: four staterooms sleep eight, and the 60 guest figure is a day capacity rather than a sleeping capacity.

Layout

Yacht Layout and Deck Plan

The general arrangement drawing shows how the vessel is laid out across her decks, from the bow through the main deck spaces to the aft platform, along with the accommodation below.

It is worth a look if you are planning where a large group will sit, eat and gather during the charter, or working out where a ceremony, a speech or a buffet would sit on the day. The drawing is reproduced in full so no deck or hull section is cut off.

If there is a particular space you want to understand before booking, ask us and we will talk it through for your group size.

Sixty guests on one boat

The number that defines this vessel is 60. That is her capacity on record, and it is the reason she is in the fleet at all. Most charter yachts working out of Nassau run out of room well before a group that size, and the options narrow quickly once a party gets large. This catamaran is usually the answer.

She is 80 feet, custom, and a catamaran rather than a single hull vessel. The form is what makes the number work. Width carried across two hulls turns a boat of this length into a platform that holds a crowd instead of a handful of people.

Her own record describes her as suited to large groups, and that is how we schedule her. Company days, family gatherings, wedding parties and cruise ship groups with one day in Nassau all fit her better than they fit a smaller yacht.

Speed, range and how shallow she sits

She cruises comfortably at 18 knots with a maximum speed of 24 knots. On a day charter that mostly buys you time in the water rather than time watching Nassau go past. Rose Island and Green Cay sit roughly 15 miles out, about 35 minutes of running, so a reasonable morning departure has the group swimming well before lunch.

Her range is listed at up to 550 nautical miles, far more than a normal charter day asks of her. The figure that matters more often is her draft: 1.5 metres. For an 80 foot boat that is shallow, and it lets her get in close to shallow water and shorelines that deeper vessels have to stand off from. With 60 people to move between the boat and a beach, that difference is felt.

What comes out of the lockers

The water toys on this vessel are picked for volume, because 60 guests cannot take turns on one paddleboard. Included are a water trampoline, kayaks, a floating island, water inflatables, paddleboards and snorkeling gear.

There is no jet ski on this boat. We say so on the page rather than let you find out at the dock.

Green Cay is the usual anchorage for snorkeling. It is home to a large family of sea turtles, and because gear is aboard for the group you can put a lot of people in the water at the same time. Rose Island is the other regular stop on the standard run.

Crew, bar and food

The crew on record for this vessel is a captain and mate, a deckhand, and a host or server. Charters are fully crewed and private, so your group has the boat and the team to itself for the day. Fuel for local cruising is included in the charter.

Food and drink come with her. The bar is an upgraded one carrying premium brands, and alongside it there is a selection of meals and snacks. That is what is on record, and it is worth being clear about: this is straightforward catering built for a large group, not a chef prepared tasting menu. If your event needs something more than that, tell us what you have in mind and we will tell you honestly what can be arranged for your date.

Before you book

A deposit confirms the booking. Until it is paid, nothing is held, and on a boat that suits big groups the popular dates go early.

Two figures are on record for this vessel and we would rather you saw them here than later. A 14 percent sales tax is not included on any charter, and crew gratuity is customarily 10 to 15 percent. Neither of those is a total, and we do not print rates on this page. Send us your date and group size and we will quote the whole thing properly.

There are a few fixed limits. Pets are not permitted on the yachts. Every guest needs valid identification. Pickup on an island other than Nassau can be arranged but carries repositioning and docking fees. We do not run charters from Nassau to Miami. Fuel is covered for the standard cruising area, which runs from Nassau to Rose Island and up to Green Turtle Cay; anything beyond that is charged extra.

Availability changes week to week for the reasons above. Call +1 305 515 4735 or write to info@YachtsBahamas.com and we will confirm current availability and pricing for the 80.

Questions

Questions About the 80 Yacht

Answers specific to this vessel rather than to the fleet in general.

Can we charter this catamaran for a wedding in Nassau?

Yes. The vessel takes wedding charters for up to 60 guests from Nassau and Paradise Island. Every charter is private and fully crewed, and she can beach herself directly onto the sand so guests step down the ladder onto the beach. Tell us what you have planned and we will confirm what the vessel can support for your date.

Is the catamaran suitable for a corporate event or company outing?

Yes. She is chartered for corporate events and company outings for groups of up to 60 guests. The charter is private, so the vessel and the crew belong to your group for the booked hours. Fuel for local cruising is included.

Does the vessel work for a family reunion or a birthday party?

Yes. Family reunions and birthday celebrations suit her well at up to 60 guests. She carries a water trampoline, a floating island, kayaks, paddleboards, water inflatables and snorkeling gear, and there are loungers on the upper deck. Her shallow draft lets her beach onto the sand, so younger and older guests step down the ladder onto the beach instead of swimming in.

Is the charter private, or is the boat shared with other groups?

Every charter is private, so only your group is aboard. The vessel is fully crewed for your booking and the hours on the water belong to you alone. Nothing is sold by the seat.

Who crews the catamaran?

The crew on record is a captain and mate, a deckhand, and a host or server. She is fully crewed on every charter, which is what makes a group of up to 60 guests manageable on the water. Gratuity is not included and is left to your discretion.

How do we ask about availability and pricing?

Send us your date, your guest count and the length of charter you want, and we will come back with availability and a quote. Rates start from $6,000 USD for a 4 hour charter based on 6 guests, with $210 USD per additional adult and $130 USD per child aged 3 to 16. The 14 percent Bahamas tax is charged separately.

Is the 80 a motor yacht or a catamaran?

She is a catamaran. The vessel record lists her as an 80 foot custom catamaran, boat type catamaran, and that is what you will step aboard. We flag it because groups sometimes picture a single hull motor yacht when they hear the name.

How many guests can she carry?

Capacity on record is 60 guests. She is described on her own record as suited to large groups. Give us a realistic head count when you enquire so we can plan crew and provisioning around it.

Sixty guests but sleeps eight. How does that work?

The day number and the overnight number are different. She carries up to 60 guests for a day charter, and she sleeps 8 across her 4 staterooms. If you want to stay aboard overnight, tell us and we will confirm what is available for your dates.

How fast is she, and how long to reach Rose Island?

She cruises comfortably at 18 knots with a maximum speed of 24 knots. Rose Island and Green Cay are roughly 15 miles from Nassau, about 35 minutes of running time, so you spend the day at anchor rather than in transit.

What does the shallow draft actually mean for our day?

Her draft is 1.5 metres, which is shallow for an 80 foot vessel. It allows her into shallow water and close to shorelines that deeper boats have to keep away from. With a large group that matters, because a shorter distance between the boat and the beach makes moving everyone far easier.

How far can she travel?

Her range is listed at up to 550 nautical miles. In practice our standard cruising area is Nassau out to Rose Island and up to Green Turtle Cay, and fuel for that local cruising is included. Fuel for anything beyond that area is charged extra, so raise it early if you have somewhere further in mind.

Is a jet ski included on this boat?

No. There is no jet ski on this vessel's included list. What is included is a water trampoline, kayaks, paddleboards, a floating island, water inflatables and snorkeling gear.

Do we need to bring snorkel gear for the turtles?

No, snorkeling gear is included on this vessel. Green Cay is home to a large family of sea turtles and it is the usual stop for snorkeling on this run. Bring your own mask only if you need a prescription lens or prefer a particular fit.

Is there a chef aboard the 80?

The crew on record is a captain and mate, a deckhand, and a host or server. Catering on this vessel is a selection of meals and snacks served alongside the upgraded bar rather than a chef prepared menu. If your group wants more than that, ask us and we will tell you what can be arranged for your date.

What is the bar like?

She carries an upgraded bar with premium brands, and it is served as part of the charter. We do not publish a brand list here because stock rotates. Tell us what your group drinks when you book and we will take it into account when we provision.

What is not included in the charter?

Two items are on record for this vessel: 14 percent sales tax is not included on any charter, and crew gratuity is customarily 10 to 15 percent. On top of that, fuel outside the standard cruising area is extra, and repositioning and docking fees apply if you want collecting from another island. It will all be set out in writing before you pay a deposit.

Can you collect a 60 guest group from an island other than Nassau?

Often yes, but repositioning and docking fees apply and it needs planning ahead. What we do not offer is a charter from Nassau to Miami. Send us your dates and your pickup point and we will tell you whether it works.

How far ahead should a 60 guest group book the 80?

A deposit confirms the booking and nothing is reserved until it is paid. Availability shifts constantly: vessels are sold, repositioned between Miami and Nassau, operate seasonally, or are taken by another client. This page is not a live calendar, so contact us for current availability and pricing before you build plans around a date.

What does a group of 60 need to bring for a day on the 80?

Valid identification for every guest, which we need whatever the size of the party, plus swimwear and a towel. Anyone with known allergies or medical requirements should bring their own spare medication.
